MAP Screening vs MAP Growth

MAP Screening tests are shorter versions of MAP Growth assessments. Because they are shorter, they take less time to complete, but don’t provide the subscores or detailed learning statements included in MAP Growth score reports. MAP Growth is our most accurate assessment and is the ideal choice most of the time, however in some situations MAP Screening may be preferable.We recommend MAP Screening for:

• Children who struggle with the length of MAP Growth 
• First testing experiences for young homeschoolers
• Meeting a testing requirement for very busy families
• Interim testing between MAP Growth assessments
