5 easy ways to use MAP Growth Scores in your homeschool

NWEA™ MAP® Growth™ tests provide lots of great information about your kids’ academic performance, but it can be challenging to figure out how to use MAP Growth scores at first. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  1. Use your child’s Lexile scores to select literature. Lexile.com has an excellent search tool. On our website, we have BraveWriter Boomarang and Arrow book-based lesson plans organized by Lexile level. Other places to find literature lesson plans are Schmoop.com and TeacherVision.com
  2. Use your child’s MAP Growth math scores to determine where to review and where to stretch. A few tools to find lessons:
  3. Use NWEA’s College Explorer tool to start conversations with your middle schooler about what they may want to do after homeschooling, and then you can talk about what the requirements are for the paths that interest them and incorporate them into next year’s plan.
  4. For lots of ideas using MAP Growth scores, check out Pinterest for lesson plans and activities at your child’s level. A great collection to follow is: https://www.pinterest.com/gvsucso/boards/  (Follow us too at https://www.pinterest.com/affordabletests/boards/ )
