✳︎ Special Reading Fluency Requirement ✳︎
Headphones
MAP Reading Fluency has sections that are read-aloud and sections that require the student to read-aloud into a microphone depending on the test track they are completing.
Because of this, students are required to use a headset or headphones that meet specific requirements – these are listed below.
Headphone qualities to aim for:
- Appropriately sized, snug-fit
- Over-ear cushions
- Boom microphone that can extend to be in front of the student's mouth
- Wired connection
Headphone qualities to avoid:
- Too large, loose fit
- Ear buds
- Microphone on earbud cord
- Bluetooth connection
